2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use StudyPath. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

• You must not share your account with or transfer it to any other person.

• You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used fraudulently.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information in your student profile.

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable regulation.

• Attempt to access, scrape, or extract data from the platform by automated means.

• Interfere with the platform's operation, security, or integrity.

• Upload documents that are forged, altered, or do not belong to you.

• Use the platform to harass, deceive, or harm other users or third parties.

5. Matching service — important limitations

The StudyPath matching engine provides guidance only. Match scores, categories (Best Fit, Reach, Safety), and scholarship probability scores are algorithmic estimates based on the data in your profile and our programme database. They do not constitute official eligibility assessments, admissions advice, or guarantees of any kind. Please read our full Matching Disclaimer before relying on any match result.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Certain features of StudyPath require a paid subscription. By subscribing you agree that:

• Subscription fees are charged via Yo Uganda mobile money and are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law.

• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.

• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice to registered users.

• Access to premium features will cease at the end of a billing period if a subscription is not renewed.

7. Intellectual property

All content, software, algorithms, trademarks, and materials on the StudyPath platform are owned by or licensed to StudyPath and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of the personal data and documents you upload to your profile.

8. Third-party content

University programme information, entry requirements, tuition fees, and other institutional data displayed on StudyPath is sourced from publicly available information and may not reflect the most current details. StudyPath does not endorse any university, programme, or scholarship listed on the platform. Links to external websites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

StudyPath is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of information.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StudyPath shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to: reliance on match scores, unsuccessful university applications, loss of data, or payment processing issues. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these terms. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately, and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
